Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the current Gooplings game handles information. Gooplings is a creature-care simulation about hatching companions and looking after their habitat. It is developed by Ellvan Studios (“we”, “us”). This notice concerns the game, not Google Play, your device or other websites, which have their own privacy practices.

In short: The current game does not ask you to create an account and does not send gameplay data to Ellvan Studios. Game progress and settings are stored locally on your device. Optional egg reminders are local notifications scheduled by your device.

Information the game uses

The game stores gameplay information on your device so that your world can continue between sessions. This may include your habitat, creatures, eggs, items, progress and game settings. The app also stores local settings such as sound preferences and reminder state. This information is used to run the game and is not transmitted to our servers.

Notifications

If you choose to enable reminders, the game may ask your operating system for notification permission and schedule local notifications, for example when an egg is ready to hatch. These notifications are scheduled on your device; they are not push messages sent by us. You can decline permission or turn notifications off in your device settings.

Network access and third parties

The Android app includes network access for loading game resources in supported environments. In the current version, we do not operate a game account service or cloud save, and the game does not include advertising or analytics SDKs. We do not receive personal information from the game.

Google Play handles app distribution and may process information under its own terms and privacy policy. Your operating system may also provide device features, such as notification delivery or device backup, under settings and services that we do not control. If the game is changed to use additional online services, advertising, analytics or account features, this policy will be updated before those features are introduced.

Children

Players do not need to provide personal information to play the current version of Gooplings. The game does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to address it.

Storage, retention and deletion

Gameplay data remains in the app’s local storage until you delete it, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the game. Device backup or transfer features may handle app data according to your operating-system settings and provider’s terms. We do not hold a separate copy of the local game save and cannot restore it if it is removed.

Security

Because game progress is stored on your device and is not sent to us, protect access to your device and use its available security and backup settings. No method of electronic storage is guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the game or its data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised date. Please review it when installing an updated version.
